This section of the book makes me think of wanting to cry. It makes you want to cry because you find out how Violet died. When Violet drowns, I felt a sence of sadness. I was surprised that Olivia tells Calla everything. Starting with Violets death and ending with blaming the death of her sister on herself.
The character I admire the most is Soren. Soren is sweet and thoughtful. He is always there for Olivia even if she tried to push him away, he’d still be there for her. Olivia does like him don’t get me wrong I would too. Soren wishes to be with Olivia but there are some things getting in the way.
I think that the relationship between Hutch and his dad; Carl Hutchinson is interesting because, when it come it come up in the book you think that something bad will happen to both of them. I also think that when they start talking to each other that Hutch will just walk away when his dad is talking; just like what his dad does to him when he is talking about baseball. I’m confused why his dad sites there looking out of the window when Hutch is practicing outside. But does not go out to help him with his with new techniques.
I like Louie Banks because he stood tall and proud on a very big topic. He stood up for his other black person. His Coach ordered an illegal hit on a black player from another team, but Louie stood up for him and let his Coach even take his starting position away from the football team. Louie still stood his grown tall and proud. Louie knows what he believes in and he is sticking to what he believes.
The character I most admire is Ross Wakeman because he died 1 time but almost died 2 more after that. He has a good life and is really lucky. Many people would just give up but he didn’t he keeps working and trying to live a good life. He tries hard and I admire him for that. Many people would love to live longer but why would someone want to die more than one time it would be harder on them.
I'm amazed that the Bismarck took 2 hours of being attacked to sink. The Germans must have had a fool proof way to build a ship. A 1000 shots on a warship to sink it. Thats just hard to picture. Especially that the Hood took 2 shot to sink. I think that in this case that the Bismarck was under matched.
I really dislike Carl Hucheson because it seems that he was not ready to stop playing baseball but never did anything to stay connected to the sport that he liked. I don’t think that he was ready to be a father for a young boy that really wants to be a baseball stare just like him. I think that he should figure out how to change his life around and help hutches team win the World Series.
I am responding to Travis Radloff post on May 16, 2011. I agree with you that Louie Banks is a strong man not only physically but mentally and that he stud up for his black friend. Even though it meant that his starting position would be taken away.
This scene makes me think about how hard life can get because this guy named Petey Shropshrire has to face his rival wrestling friend Johnny Rivers. Who is the best at wrestling in their school so Petey has no choose but to get the people to know he means business by trying to beat Johnny. The first time these to meat Johnny pretty much kills Petey so Petey wants people to know that was in high school not now when he is in college. I really think that this will be an amazing wrestling match between these two people fierce rivals. Petey’s coach doesn’t even know that he is going to try such a big move in his wrestling career.
I am responding to Jon's second blog. Maybe He wanted to take a break on playing baseball. He may like the sport doesn't Necessarily mean that he is done forever. Baseball is most likley still is favorite sport. Carl may just want to take a short season break and then come back to it later in life.
Lately Lori has been talking to Adam, because they are friends again. But she has been having a deeper conection with Adam. It makes me wonder why she had mixed emotions with him if she has been acting more friendly to him. I think she's finally relizing that Adam has been their since the first day that they met. But after awhile they started dating, and becoming closer than they already were.
When Lori got into her boat accedent Adam got really mad and upset about it. He thought she faked the accdent to get attention from Sean. But really it wasn't an accdent. I wonder why Adam thinks that. It's not like she has faked an ingery in the past. I really don't understand Adam at times I think he needs to relize that Lori really likes him more than he thinks.
If I were Green at this point, I would have lost it already. She already met two witches that lost their family in the firestorm. Then again, I would take my time and find out if the person I’m looking for is working for or against the Horde. If the person I’m looking is working for the Horde, I would be very disappointed and mad. I would of felt betrayed by the person I liked a lot.
